Michael Pennie b. 1936 (BAA and BCHE 1962 to present) Born in Wallasey, Cheshire. 1953-57 Sunderland College of Art: 1957-61 Royal College of Art; 1961 exhibited Young Contemporaries; awarded Rome Scholarship. 1963 taught sculpture at BAA, initially part-time; 1964 moved to Corsham. 1965 first one-man exhibition, ICA Gallery. Frequent group exhibitions of sculpture and drawings. 1971 first of frequent one-man exhibitions Angela Flowers Gallery. 1970 Gregynog Fellow, University College Wales, and worked at Gregynog 1971-72; exhibited Welsh Arts Council Gallery, Cardiff.
