Litz Pisk b. 1909 (BAA 1953-56) Born in Vienna. Studied stage architecture with Oskar Strnad and Kinetism with Franz Cizek at State Art and Crafts School. Guest student of Max Reinhardt. 1932 designed Brecht and Kurt Weill’s first production The Rise and Fail of the Town Mahoganny. 1933 first visited England. 1934/35 taught RADA. 1937 settled permanently in England. 1947 taught Movement, Old Vic Theatre School; one-man exhibition Redfern Gallery. 1953-56 taught Movement and Drawing BAA full-time; later taught at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Choreographed for Old Vic Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre among others. also for television and film including Isadora Duncan (Vanessa Redgrave). 1970 moved to Cornwall. Wrote The Actor and His Body, published 1975.
