Colin Crumplin
b. 1946 (BAA and BCHE 1970 - present)


Born in Hertfordshire. 1954/55 Leicester School of Art;
1965-68 Chelsea School of Art. 1967 exhibited London
Group and Young Contemporaries. 1968-70 Slade School of
Art. 1970 began to teach BAA initially part-time until 1977.
1969 included in Younger Generation touring exhibition to
USA and Great Britain; 1971 one-man exhibition Museum of
Modern Art, Oxford.

Work included in several group exhibitions including 1973
Teeside Drawing Biennale and Illusions BAA exhibition,
National Museum of Wales, Cardiff; 1974 Basically White.
ICA; 1977 Works on Paper organized by the Contemporary
Art Society, Royal Academy of Arts. 1975 one-man
exhibition Garage Art Ltd. 1977 first of several one-man
exhibitions at Anthony Stokes Ltd. Subsequent one-man
exhibitions: 1985 Salisbury Festival; 1986 Axiom Gallery,
Cheltenham; Sculpture in the City, Artiste Gallery, Bath; 1987
John Moores exhibition, Liverpool. 1988 one-man exhibition
Victoria Art Gallery, Bath.
